More than 170 jobs at risk as printing firm considers ceasing manufacture at Heybridge branch
More than 170 jobs could be at risk after a printing firm announced it could cease manufacturing at its Heybridge branch.
Employees at Wyndeham Heron, on The Bental Complex, in Colchester Road, Heybridge, face the prospect of losing their jobs after the Wyndeham Group announced the start of a 45-day consultation into the future of the business.
Including casual workers, the branch currently employs 172 employees but these jobs are now at risk as the group, which lost its contract with IPC Media, now known as Time Inc UK, has concluded that the Heron site “cannot be returned to profitability”.
