An airport has suggested that it may object to a proposed solar farm if glare from the panels affects their pilots.
The proposal for the 22,000 panel farm, on agricultural land at Wick Farm in Burnham, would generate enough energy to power 1,650 homes on an annual basis.
But London Southend Airport have told Maldon District Council that it may object to the plans if the panels could cause glare that could affect their pilots, as the position of the proposed solar farm is on the approach path to the airport.
