Lidl is a step closer to bringing a store and 19 new flats to Maldon after submitting two planning applications.
The retail giant will create 20 part time jobs and 20 full time posts if plans for a store on a derelict industrial site at Station Road/Fullbridge are given the go ahead.
The proposed 1,272 sq metre premises would include 80 parking spaces and involve the demolition of existing buildings on the site.
The store would face the Fullbridge roundabout and be open from 8am - 9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am - 4pm on Sundays.
