A singing teacher is proud as punch after seeing a student fly through the opening stages of X Factor.

Marc Lincoln-Fargeot, of Heybridge, is a voice coach for James Graham, 17, of Bicknacre, who auditioned for the show and is set to appear on our small screens this weekend.

Marc, 37, who is the managing director of A.T Music in Rettendon, will be attending the ITV talent show behind the scenes to make sure James’s vocals are in top condition.

Marc said: “I have worked with James since he was 14.

“James used to have a lot confidence issues and now look at him, he’s singing in front of thousands.

“I’m really proud of him."

James started off singing opera and Marc likened his voice to that of John Legend.
