A new village post office has formally opened and council representatives were in attendance at the ribbon cutting.
Hasmukh Patel and his wife Tostana are opening their own post office in Latchingdon and held a ribbon cutting ceremony to formally open it on Tuesday.
Mr Patel, of The Street, has owned the shop, Latchingdon News, for 23 years.
He thinks it is an important facility to keep in the community.
He said: "I am very much looking forward to it.
"There's a post office already here but he is retiring and they are closing down.
"It's about keeping the local facilities open for the community.
"The beauty of this is we open at 5am every morning and will open at 5am on a Sunday too, we will be open all hours of the day.
"It's a good service we do and the customers really appreciate it."
