Five members of Essex County Council’s fostering team will climb Ben Nevis to raise money for a fostering campaign.

The group, made up of Lize Markham, Caroline Clarke, Elise Lazell, Tina Maryon, Corrie Castleman and foster carer Darren Harman-Page, will tackle the 4,406ft high mountain in September and hope to complete it within seven hours.

They are raising money in support of the Fostering Network’s “Don’t Move Me” campaign, which aims to support children in foster care to stay with their carers beyond their 18th birthday, providing them with the benefits of a stable family for longer.
