Against all odds, an avid Arsenal fan with a severe brain injury has re-built his life and has started a job for the first time in nine years.
In 2005, Phillip Barker’s life changed forever when he was the passenger in a car which crashed in Bury St Edmunds on the A14.
The former St Peter’s High School pupil, of The Glebe, Purleigh, suffered serious bone and brain injuries and had to learn how to walk, talk, eat and dress himself again.
Undergoing years of rehabilitation and determined to defy all odds, Phillip has become a personal trainer (PT) at David Lloyd in Basildon.
