Coastguards were tasked to the River Blackwater after a member of the public reported a capsized dinghy.
The Thames Coastguard received a report just before 1pm yesterday and the West Mersea RNLI Inshore Lifeboat and the South Woodham Coastguard Rescue Team were sent to assist the capsized dinghy, which was between Northey Island and Osea Island.
On arrival at the scene, the South Woodham Coastguard was able to confirm that the casualty vessel was no longer in difficulties.
