The RNLI were scrambled to save three people from a sinking yacht yesterday.
Thames Coastguard tasked both Burnham RNLI Lifeboats just after 3.45pm to assist the 28ft yacht Selkie which was reported to be sinking in the river Crouch near North Fambridge.
The Lifeboats located the vessel and assisted it to Fambridge Marina, where it was met by the South Woodham Coastguard Team, and taken out of the water for repairs.
