Maldon car owners targeted by thieves - stolen Mercedes found burnt-out
A number of cars have been targeted by thieves in the Maldon district.
A silver Mercedes was found burnt out after being stolen from Knox Close in Maldon.
The car, which was worth about £1,000, was taken overnight on July 5 and was found burnt out in Abbey Turning, in Maldon.
Another attempt was made to steal another vehicle in Knox Close in the early hours of July 7, when a car alarm sounded and a person was seen running away wearing a head torch.
A green Kawasaki 4x4 worth £2,000 was also stolen from farm land off Fish Street, Goldhanger, overnight on July 6.
