A vegan animal lover who ran the ‘toughest race on the planet’ earlier this year, is set to run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.

Incredibly she says she ‘doesn’t much like running’ and does it to raise money for Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary, Asheldham, which she runs and to promote veganism.

The route will take Fiona Oakes, 43, from Australia, to Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, South America, finishing in Antarctica.

She will run a marathon on each continent.

To warm up for her 777 challenge, she will run in the elite start of the Great North Run in September and will then tackle the Everest Challenge Stage Race in November.
