The owner of the Rio cinema has reassured customers that the attraction will not be affected if he takes on another cinema in Kent.
Concerns for the future of the district’s only cinema arose after a message was posted on its listing website informing customers of a possible move to Kent and asking them to “watch this space.”
The message was later removed.
Ashley Wyatt, who runs the cinema, in Station Road, Burnham, has been approached to take on a cinema that has closed down in Kent but insists that the Rio will not be affected if he takes up the position.
He said: “We are thinking about taking on a cinema down in Kent.
“As soon as we know more and the legal things are sorted out it will be posted on the website.
“It won’t affect the Rio cinema in any way."
