Another new food store for Maldon
Another new food store is planned for Maldon.
Aquila was granted permission to redevelop the Brooks Brothers timber yard in The Causeway, Maldon, in April 2012, including a garden centre, large retail units, a 57-bedroom hotel and a restaurant, creating 160 jobs.
But it has now dropped the garden centre and wants to build a food store. The planned retail units will be non-food.
In separate plans, Lidl wants to build a shop off Station Road, as revealed in the Standard last month.
