Celebrations were held to mark 125 years of the Crouch Valley Line.

Children’s designs were unveiled in the windows of Burnham train station last week.

The 15 young artists, aged five to 18, were presented with prizes at the launch ceremony by ticket office employee and local resident Linda Campion.

There was also music, stalls, workshops, artwork and exhibits, and a retro bus gave free transport to various locations on the Burnham Art Trail, which coincided with the event, and Mangapps Railway Museum.

Railway archive photography and memorabilia will also be on display on Friday at South Woodham Ferrers station.
