Two students from Anglia Ruskin University, where the awards evening will be held with racing driver Perry McCarthy (the original Stig from Top Gear), awards founder Susie Cornell and Chelmsford town crier Tony Appleton.
Unsung heroes and those who have overcome the odds will be celebrated at this year’s Pride of Essex awards.
The awards are organised by founder Susie Cornell, and Dave Dennison, managing director of main sponsors Directa UK Ltd, based in Cold Norton.
The Directa Ultimate Award and the Susie Cornell Award recognise and reward adults and children who have overcome adversity.
The Blue Strawberry Unsung Hero Award recognises and rewards exceptional care in the community.
The SL Caravans Community Champion Award recognises outstanding community achievement and fundraising.
Nominations close on October 31.
