Family historians and researchers can find out if their ancestors spent time in Essex workhouses.
The Essex Record Office will have workhouse records available dating back to 1834 on June 26.
John Jowers, county council cabinet member for libraries, said: “Researchers often discover references in documents such as census returns or death certificates that an ancestor spent time in a workhouse.
“This event helps them uncover the details of that part of an ancestor’s life too, using some of ERO’s many thousands of historical items.”
