A safety roadshow for adults with learning disabilities will be held on Friday.
The event, at the amphitheatre in Promenade Park, Maldon, will also highlight the Keep Safe Scheme, in which ten venues can help vulnerable adults phone for help if they feel threatened.
Thirty people have joined the scheme.
Visitors to Friday’s event, which runs from 2pm to 4pm, can also take part in a fundraising tea party for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Maldon Community Safety Partnership, Maldon Pioneers, Essex Police and Plume School are involved in the roadshow.
The Keep Safe scheme operates at Asda in Heybridge, Tesco in Fullbridge, Greggs, Iceland, the OAKhouse, British Heart Foundation shop, Crystal Café, Maldon Library, Longfields Medical Centre and Maldon District Council.
