Burnham Carnival to choose new queen and princesses - could it be you?

A new court is needed to lead Burnham Carnival.

Queen Ellen Tracy and princesses Rachel Cottee and Maggie Smyth will be handing over tiaras to a new court on Friday.

The queen will be selected at an event starting at 8pm at the town council offices in Chapel Road.

Applicants must be aged 16 or over on carnival day, which is September 27, and live in the Dengie peninsula.

The chosen girl will win an evening gown, a professional photoshoot and £150 cash.

Application forms are available from shops in Burnham including Williams Family Photographers or call Gwen on 01621 783418.

Princesses will be chosen by a ballot on the same night.
