A care home criticised by inspectors has been told it is now “fully compliant” with regulations.

Swan Care Residential Home, in North Street, Tillingham, was told to take action by the Care Quality Commission following an unannounced inspection in February, which found that the home was not meeting set standards.

A report, published by the CQC in March, said that the home needed to make improvements to care plans, the management of medicines, consent to care and treatment, ensuring that staff received appropriate refresher mandatory and specialist training and the recording of complaints.

But following another visit by the CQC on May 20, Joyce Banning, the registered manager for the care home, has now said she has been informed that the home is now “fully compliant”.

A CQC spokesman said: “CQC has recently visited Swan Care Residential Home in Tillingham, Essex and the findings of this inspection will be published in due course.”
