Staff got residents in a celebratory mood by dressing up to mark a care home’s 50th anniversary.
Brewster House, in Oak Road, Heybridge, celebrated the landmark year with a tea party and sixties themed fancy dress in honour of the decade the home was opened.
Margaret Leach, one of the care managers, said: “We had a big party in the afternoon with a singer to entertain us.
“There was lots of party food supplied by the staff and relatives of people at the home and we had a good old knees up.
“There were banners and bunting to decorate everything.
“The staff dressed in sixties costume and the residents wore party hats and everyone had a lovely time and really got into the party spirit.”
