A family are offering a “substantial” cash reward for the return of their lost dog Teddy.
The shar pei/labrador cross went missing near the Barrow Marsh Caravan Site, in Goldhanger Road, Heybridge on Sunday while being walked by a family member.
Mikey Key, of Colchester, owned Teddy before moving to a flat and giving the dog to his mother Siobham Gilbert, of Francis Way, Silver End, Witham.
He said: “He is good as gold when my mum lets him off the lead but he was being walked by my step-brother and just darted off.
“It’s like he’s vanished off the face of the earth.
“He is quite distinctive looking as he has a curly tail, blue tongue and wrinkles.
“He is very much a family dog and everyone loves him and is missing him.
“It’s devastating to have lost him.”
The family is offering a cash reward on Teddy’s return and have reported him as missing to local vets, Essex Police.
He is also microchipped.
