Goods worth £400 stolen from garden shed in Woodham Mortimer

First published in News

Machines worth £400 have been stolen from a shed in Woodham Mortimer.

Brian Haines, a wood machinist, found that the shed at his home in Maldon Road had been burgled yesterday.

He believes that the machines, a biscuit jointer worth £250 and a router machine worth £150, were taken while he was out between 11am and 3pm.

He said: “It looks like they have picked the lock and wrenched the door open.

“I am more than annoyed, you work so hard all your life and then you get these rogues coming along and just taking things.

“I have secured it all again now but I’m concerned because they have had a good look around and might come back.”

Anyone with information should contact Essex Police on 101.
