Animals, Vikings and kayaks come together for an eclectic mix of fun at the Blackwater Country Show.
Now in its ninth year, the Heybridge spectacle is expected to welcome thousands of visitors on June 22.
See beautiful birds of prey, watch gentle giant Newfoundland dogs carrying out ‘mock’ real-time rescues on the lake, meet the animals in the petting farm and miniature ponies, and enjoy donkey rides.
Meet Viking warriors in their living encampment and under tens can even take part in the Kiddie-Vike, when the bravest warriors attempt to take control of the child hoard.
Opening times 10am- 5pm. Venue: Chigborough Road, Heybridge.
Tickets are £7.50 adults, £3.50 children aged three to 16 and £18.75 for a family in advance, or £9, £4 and £23 on the day.
