Shop owners and residents have criticised a proposal to limit free parking in two Burnham car parks.
Maldon District Council is considering restricting all day free parking in Foundry Lane and Millfields to two hours, with no return within three hours.
Samantha Pinney, who owns Burnham Home Brew and Cake Decor shop on the Mildmay Industrial Estate, in Foundry Lane, said: “It would probably stop people coming down and wanting to spend the day here.”
