Fundraisers and pupils braved a 30ft climbing wall to raise money for airbourne paramedics after a staff member was helped by them after a serious accident.
Lisa Aydon, a child and family support worker at Burnham Primary School, was airlifted by the East Anglian Air Ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with a serious head injury after falling down the stairs at her home in Albert Road, Burnham on April 26.
Nicky Patrick, the headteacher of the school, organised and took part in the event to raise money for The Essex Air Ambulance in honour of Mrs Aydon and was joined by pupils and parents.
They raised more than £1,400 for the charity.
