Families can enjoy the ‘good life’ at Danbury Country Park with the launch of the monthly Seed 2 Eat children’s gardening club on Saturday.
Children and accompanying adults will learn how to plant seeds, weed, water, dig and turn the compost at a newly created allotment.
The young gardeners will then get a chance to sample their produce at harvest time.
It costs £3 a child (adults free) per month with all proceeds being used to buy tools and seeds.
The club is open to children of any age. Meet at the Lakes Car Park at 10am and bring a trowel and gardening gloves.
