A memorial bench to commemorate a Second World War veteran from Burnham has been given the go-ahead.
At a Burnham Town Council meeting last week, councillors agreed to give permission to Wilf Trussell’s daughter, Jennifer, to install a bench outside the town council offices in memory of her dad.
Town clerk David McNeill said at the meeting: “I have had correspondence from Wilf’s daughter, who lives in Burnham, and she wants to put in a new bench."
