The care our elderly loved ones receive when they are no longer able to live independently is an issue that has been in the spotlight in recent years.

Although there are many good care providers, some high profile cases of mistreatment in hospitals and homes have caused concern.

Katie Warren, of Great Totham, was so appalled by the care her elderly mother received that she is now trying to help other families and make sure all elderly and vulnerable people are treated well.

She and husband Kevin have set up, following her later mother Renee Dewey's experiences in the care system.
