‘Quite chilled out’ may not be the description many people associate with tarantulas.
One dad-of-two, however, described his 36 pet tarantulas as exactly that, although he admits some could give a nasty bite.
Andy Bishop, 47, of Alexander Road, Burnham has a menagerie of 36 tarantulas, two snakes and one scorpion.
He said: “They are very beautiful creatures.
“The majority are very laid back."
