Classmates of a brain-injured teenager have raised £2,000 to buy him an adjustable bed.
Year 13 pupils at Plume School in Maldon have been raising the money since Sam Richards fell from a rope cage at Oak Tree Meadow play area, in Heybridge, in September 2012.
They held cake and sweet sales, onesie days, a Harry Potter show and other events to collect the cash, which was presented to Sam last week.
His mum Teresa Mecoy said: "They have been absolutely amazing. It was lovely, Sam got to see al his friends again, he was so pleased."
