A touch of Madness will be coming to Maldon for a charity gig.

Los Palmas 6, a tribute to the ska band behind hits such as Baggy Trousers and It Must Be Love, will be performing at Plume School in Maldon on May 10.

The tribute band’s saxophonist Steve Turner has also travelled the world with the real Madness and played with Franz Ferdinand.

The gig is supporting The Marble Project charity, which was set up by volunteers from in and around the Maldon area to improve the lives of orphans, disabled young people and the elderly in the small Bulgarian town of Berkovitsa.

Tickets are £12.50 and there will be a licensed bar and food available.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets available from Maldon Tourist Information Centre (01621 856503) or from Paul (07884 251320).
