Bradwell Power Station

Campaigners have criticised Maldon District Council’s plans to lobby for a new nuclear power station in Bradwell.

The council said a new power station will be a “major economic stimulus” for the district and Essex.

In 2011 pressure group Bradwell Against New Nuclear Group collected a 10,000 signature petition against any future nuclear developments in the area.

Secretary Varrie Blowers said: “We are totally opposed to it. We are extremely worried about this.

“It seems unlikely that it will stop at just one power station. It could end up having up to three there."

What do they want, a return to the dark ages, they protest against solar, wind turbines and nuclear.
The latest dictate from the UN states these are the steps we should be taking. When these protesters come up with a viable alternative, then they can complain.
