A mum is praising the efforts of Maldon’s MP after he organised for her daughter’s passport to arrive just in the nick of time - the day before her holiday.
Mum-of-two Joani St Cliere, who lives in Mayland, was left distraught when she could not get information from the passport office about when 15-year-old Amber’s documents would arrive.

Three weeks beforehand, she realised Amber’s passport would run out and need replacing during the holiday.
The Zumba instructor spoke with staff at the post office, who assured her that the new passport would be back within two weeks.
After a fortnight, it had not arrived.
