Trees have delayed a planning application to demolish an old clubhouse and build four new houses.
Currently Caren Murphy’s proposal to demolish and build on the site of Lamby’s Sports Club, Latchingdon, is held up because the plans do not include enough detail about the impact of the development on surrounding trees.
Maldon District Council South Eastern Area Planning Committee want to see a new arboricultural report before they give the go ahead to the application to build on the site.
Andrew Pipe, agent for Caren Murphy who applied to build on the site in September 2013, called the hold-up ‘unfortunate’.
