An ex-fireman proved he is flaming hot in the kitchen by reaching the finals of Sky's My Kitchen Rules cookery competition.
Kevin Cook, 56, made it through ten episodes of Sky’s My Kitchen Rules alongside his team mate and former work colleague Dan Egans, 46 and had to compete against team Wales for the crown.
For their final dish the duo whipped up a trio of black pudding, a pasta main course and finished with a trio of desserts, including a chocolate mousse topped with gold powder.
Mr Cook said: “I learnt a lot during the show, but most of all I have learnt to really enjoy my cooking, be adventurous, think about presentation and try absolutely everything.”
Find out if Kevin Cook was crowned king of the kitchen in this week's Standard.
