Children from a small village rubbed shoulders with royalty.
The eight pupils from St Cedds Primary School, Bradwell, were guests at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day Observance last Monday.
The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Earl and Countess of Wessex were among the dignitaries at Britain’s largest annual inter-faith gathering.
Headteacher Pauline Ward and deputy head Lyndsey Devlin escorted pupils George Waterhouse, Bella Whitmore, Grace Emerson, Daisy Mae Baker, Oliver Swan, Ellie Torrie, Cally Terkelson and Joey Smith.
