A community hub is closing because of lack of money.
One Place Southminster provides tourist and community information, training courses and a charity shop and works with organisations such as the police, housing associations and health trusts.
But it will shut on March 28 as the Dengie Project Trust, which runs it, does not have the funding to keep it going.
One Place Burnham will remain open and is unaffected.
The Citizens Advice Bureau, which shares the Southminster premises, is in talks to relocate elsewhere in the village.
