A Slimming World group is set to lose pounds and help save lives.
Heybridge Slimming World class, led by Emma Chapman, is taking part in Slimming World’s ‘Slim for Good’ slimathon.
They have decided to raise money to go towards an ECMO machine for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The group chose the charity after the machine saved the life of one member's four-year-old cousin, Ava Mears.
An ECMO machine replaces the function of a patients heart and lungs allowing their body to fight infection.
