V Festival: Essex residents have first chance to buy tickets

First published in News

Essex residents will have the chance to secure their place at this year's V Festival tomorrow morning, a day before tickets go on general sale.

From 9am, a limited number of tickets will be available to people living within a three-mile radius of Hylands Park, where the festival is being held on August 16 and 17.

More tickets will then go on sale, available to all residents in the Essex postcode area, at 10am.

Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster, by clicking on this link, or by phoning 08444 539 126

Justin Timberlake and The Killers have been confirmed as the headliners for this year's festival.

Other confirmed acts include Lily Allen, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental and Manic Street Preachers.

The Killers headlining? What year is this? 2001?
It's nice that they're allowing residents first dibs, even if the festival itself is a bit grim.

It does, to be fair, say that's just for an hour and then anyone with an Essex postcode can order after 10am. Seems fair to me.

£200 to stand in a field with 50,000 coked-up idiots, watching tired mainstream acts that seem to get re-booked every year. Queue for an hour to have your own drinks confiscated, then another hour to buy your choice of over-priced Carling or over-priced Virgin Cola. Tempting.
