Volunteers trying to prevent further flooding have formed a partnership to clear a waterway to protect homes.
The scheme sees staff from a variety of organisations working together in a one-off gesture of goodwill to help residents affected by flooding.
They plan to clear the watercourse running alongside the houses of silt and undergrowth.
The properties in Wagtail Drive and Coopers Avenue, Heybridge, were all flooded in the flashfloods of August 2013.
