David Wilson Homes given go ahead for 117 homes in Southminster

New homes have been approved after developers redesigned the 'cramped' layout.

Maldon District Council planning officers had originally recommended the 117 homes at Southminster West Business Park on Scotts Hill, Southmister, be rejected.

They said the homes were too close together and could cause overlooking and the gardens were too small.

They also opposed the walled entrance to the estate.

Councillors deferred making a decision until earlier this month, when David Wilson Homes put forward amended plans, which included removing the walled entrance, re-positioned the homes and enlarged the gardens.

Well, unless they've found more land, this probably means that the access roads have been narrowed...

Its shocking!
Roads cant cope, trains cant cope, no space at local schools, no NHS dentists available, doctors oversubscribed, crime is on the increase - no police. And the fact that some of these will be social housing means we will have some elements of undesireables living there, bringing crime to the area.

which idiot thought it was a good idea to pass even more houses??
