A prayer meeting to ask for the storms to cease will take place in Maldon tonight.
Pastor Rob Sefton, of the Maldon Elim Pentecostal Church, in Wantz Road, will lead the service, which will appeal to God to ease the flooding.
He said: “We believe that David Cameron and all his Government can’t stop the rain, storms and the wind.
“We feel that the only person that can is God.”
All members of Maldon church congregations and the public are invited to the service at 6.30pm.
