Patients at a Maldon dental practice are being told to wait months for free dental treatment because the surgery has run out of NHS funds.

Staff at the Quest Dental Care surgery in the town’s High Street are telling patients who try to book treatments that they will have to wait until April for NHS appointments.

Michele Sale, 30, tried to get an NHS appointment for her four-year-old son Joshua Smith last week but was told she would have to pay £18.50 if she wanted it.

Fair enough. If there isnt enough NHS money then there isn't enough.
