More than £13,000 worth of jewellery and cash has been taken in house raids.

Thieves targeted addresses in Woodham Mortimer, North Fambridge, Stow Maries and Danbury over three days.

Gold jewellery, sterling, American dollars and Euros - thought to be worth £2,760 in total - were stolen from a property in Peartree Lane, Danbury, on Saturday afternoon.

Property worth £1,000 was taken from a neighbouring home, but police could not specify exactly what was stolen.

Jewellery worth £3,150 was stolen from a home in Southend Road, Woodham Mortimer, last Tuesday afternoon.

And on Friday, jewellery worth £6,500 was taken from a home in Church Lane, Stow Maries, jewellery of an unknown value was stolen from a home in Fambridge Road, North Fambridge, and another home in the street was broken into but it was not known what was taken.
