A popular cookery school will take centre stage for the filming of a major daytime TV show.
ITV programme Britain’s Best Bakery will be visiting Braxted Park, in Little Braxted, during its upcoming second series.
The show sees judges Mich Turner and Peter Sidwell searching for the country’s best independent or community bakery.
The team at Braxted Park’s cookery school were approached by show producer due to the venue’s stunning backdrop, with 500 acres of parkland surrounding it.
Episodes featuring Braxted Park are set to be broadcast next week, with the show airing at 4pm on weekdays.
Cookery school owner Duncan Clark said: “I am really pleased that the makers of Britain’s Best Bakery chose the cookery school at Braxted Park for the programme. It is a stunning venue and the layout of the bespoke kitchen makes it ideal for both filming and teaching classes alike.
“We are finding that Braxted Park is increasingly being used by production companies.
“Our location is perfect, being just a few minute drive from the A12 and under an hour from London.”
The venue has a history of hosting TV productions, from last year’s Celebrity Wedding Planner on Channel 5 to Ford filming its car adverts on the estate in the 1970s.
The cookery school hosts more than 60 cookery classes each year for a range of abilities and cuisines.
