Forty dancers and musicians wound their way around Maldon town centre to recreate a 500-year-old tradition.
Morris dancers celebrated Plough Monday yesterday with a procession from Hythe Quay in Maldon, through the High Street and ending at the Blue Boar Hotel.
For the first time, a group of five children also took part.
Sue Powell, one of the event's organisers, said: "It's something I've been thinking about doing for a while and they really enjoyed it."
