A potholed path has finally been fixed, after more than four years.
Martin Yeulett first reported the crumbling asphalt outside his house in Princes Road, Burnham, to Essex County Council on July 7, 2009.
He received an acknowledgement but heard nothing more and contacted the council again at the beginning of this year when a woman tripped and fell over his front wall.
Even the town council tried to help.
It was finally fixed three weeks ago after the Maldon and Burnham Standard raised the issue with the council on Mr Yeulett’s behalf.
