Maldon and Burnham Standard: Amanda Pain Amanda Pain

A Maldon mum received an early Christmas present after winning £10,000.

Amanda Pain, 30, scooped the prize in the People’s Postcode Lottery Saturday Street Prize.

She had just dropped her four children off at school when former rugby player Scott Quinnell knocked on her door and surprised her with the cheque.

The single mum-of-four said: “I am going to pay off my debts and treat the kids to more Christmas presents as well as a holiday next year."
