Where do our Christmas traditions come from?
All will be revealed in macTheatre's Christmas show, The Holly and the Ivy and the Mistletoe, described as a “festive entertainment as sharp, sweet and traditional as a bowl of wassail punch.”
This celebration of winter in speech and song offers an evening of light-hearted anecdotes, snippets of Dickens and sentimental and poignant moments.
Barrie Jaimeson and Nicola Esson will perform the show at The Rose and Crown pub in Maldon High Street on Tuesday and Thursday.
Audience members are invited to pay what they can for admission to Tuesday’s performance.
Tickets for Thursday are £5 from The Rose and Crown.
Both shows start at 7.30pm.
