A mum has thanked considerate passers-by who stopped after her son’s car careered off the road and into a hedge.

Kevin King’s black BMW 316 skidded into the hedge in Goldhanger Road, Heybridge, at about 9am last Friday.

Thankfully Mr King, of Mell Road, Tollesbury, was unhurt, but dozens of people stopped.

His mum Gina King, of The Causeway, Heybridge, said: “I was just amazed at the number of people who stopped to help or ask if everything was okay. It was quite extraordinary."
